About Us

The Delhi University Literature Festival 1.0 is a landmark cultural and intellectual celebration hosted at the University of Delhi, North Campus from 12–14 February 2026. Anchored in the theme “Nation First: Unity in Diversity,” the festival is a vibrant platform that unites voices from across India’s many languages, literary traditions, cultural expressions and creative disciplines.
Over three inspiring days, the fest brings together writers, scholars, artists, performers and thinkers for engaging discussions, artistic performances and interactive dialogue. Through panel sessions, poetry evenings, folk presentations and cultural showcases, the festival honours the rich pluralism that defines our nation while fostering a shared national consciousness.
Join us in celebrating literature as a living force that bridges heritage and contemporary thought, amplifies diverse voices and enriches our collective imagination.

Theme: Nation First: Unity in Diversity

The theme “Nation First: Unity in Diversity” reflects the foundational spirit of India, a nation shaped by countless languages, cultures, beliefs and traditions, yet bound together by shared values and collective identity.
At Delhi University Literature Festival 1.0, this theme comes alive through literature, dialogue, performance and cultural expression. It highlights how diversity is not a division, but a strength: one that enriches national thought, fosters mutual respect and deepens our understanding of what it means to belong to one nation.
By placing the nation first, the festival celebrates plurality as a unifying force, encouraging conversations that honour differences while reinforcing the idea of India as one shared cultural and intellectual home.
